To cultivate nursing professionals who will lead a healthy future society, achieving the vision of Kyung Hee University's College of Nursing Science.
The vision of Kyung Hee University's Graduate School of Nursing is the same as that of the College of Nursing Science and the Graduate School of Nursing, which is “Realizing a Healthy Future Society.” The core values include four pillars: “Holistic Care,” “Creative Innovation,” “Social Responsibility,” and “Global Cooperation.” The detailed strategic directions are first, securing excellence in specialized nursing education; second, ensuring excellence in evidence-based nursing research; third, practicing public value based on nursing knowledge; and fourth, establishing global partnerships.
1) Securing Excellence in Specialized Nursing Education : To secure excellence in specialized nursing education, curricula will be designed to enhance professional nursing competencies that can predict and respond to current health issues and future health risks facing humanity. To innovate the specialized nursing education system, programs will focus on enhancing humanistic nursing competencies, interdisciplinary problem-solving capabilities, data-driven problem analysis, decision-making, and predicting and analyzing future health risks.
2) Ensuring Excellence in Evidence-Based Nursing Research : To secure excellence in evidence-based nursing research, projects will be implemented to identify nursing issues in medical practice, strengthen clinical nursing research capabilities, and develop nursing interventions and evidence that can improve patient safety and quality of care.
3) Practicing Public Value Based on Nursing Knowledge : To practice public value based on nursing knowledge, the program will aim to predict and proactively address challenges and future issues in collaboration with the nation and healthcare institutions, thereby nurturing nursing leaders who contribute to community values and development. This includes training nursing professionals equipped to realize a human-centered health society.
4) Establishing Global Partnerships : To build global partnerships, the program will strengthen international-level specialized nursing competencies and activate international exchange programs.
