The educational philosophy of the College of Nursing Science is rooted in Kyung Hee University's founding principle, "Creation of a Cultured World," and aims to promote the well-being of nursing clients (individuals, families, communities). This is achieved by establishing the values of a professional nurse through an academic approach to Eastern and Western nursing, encompassing human beings, environment, health, and nursing.
Human beings are integrated entities, encompassing physical, mental, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual aspects, who are self-directed and interact dynamically with the ever-changing internal and external environment.
Environment refers to the physical, mental, psychological, and sociocultural circumstances surrounding nursing clients, including individuals, families, and communities.
Health refers to the dynamic state of well-being achieved by individuals maximizing their potential and maintaining balance and harmony through interactions with the environment.
Nursing is an act that contributes to the recovery, maintenance, promotion of health, and improvement of quality of life for nursing clients through an integrated approach to Eastern and Western nursing.
