Introduction to K-CTC
Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital is an institution that leads the world’s traditional medicine and has established the Korean Medicine Clinical Trial Center (K-CTC) with the support of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Seoul Metropolitan Government to act as a foundation for the science of Korean Medicine. Based on clinical data up to global standards, we, as a key research institution that will lead clinical research on Korean Medicine and Korean Medical equipment, plan to establish a scientific basis for Korean Medical treatment and diagnosis to structure diagnostic technology. Also, we plan to contribute to vitalizing clinical trials through the establishment of guidelines for Korean Medical clinical trials and professional training, to provide guidelines on clinical trials on traditional pharmacology, and to help with Korean Medicinal products/equipment.
Role
· Performing leading mission to establish clinical infrastructure for the scientific basis of Korean Medicine
· Providing scientific basis for treatment and medical practices of Korean Medicine· Contributing to the establishment of guidelines for clinical trials of Korean Medicine by customizing diagnostic technology
Expected Effects
· Establishing infrastructure to become a leading clinical trial center for traditional medicine in the world
· Contributing to the promotion of multidisciplinary research in the field of Korean Medicine, Biology, Pharmacy, and Engineering to revitalize Korean Medicine
· Actively dealing with changes in the research environment through the introduction of on/offline education systems, electronic case records, and e-IRB system
